Our stay at Västeräng Glamping along the Archipelago Trail was truly magical. We were visiting Nagu and looking at hotels but didn’t find anything that interesting. There were no reviews for Västeräng Glamping, so we were initially hesitant. However, after speaking with Charlotta, the owner, whose kindness put us at ease, we decided to give it a try. And we’re so glad we did.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear the photos couldn’t capture the full beauty and spirit of this place. The teepee-style tent was private, cozy, and more comfortable than some beds we’ve had at high-end hotels in Helsinki and Naantali.

The kitchen was a pleasant surprise—fully equipped for cooking and barbecuing. You can charge your phone in the kitchen, and I had zero connectivity issues throughout the property. The sauna, doubling as a shower, was a highlight—simple to use and wonderfully relaxing after a day of exploring.

The bathroom, which I initially worried about, was clean and comfortable, exceeding my expectations.

We enjoyed the private lake with paddleboards and rowboats included in the rate.

A favorite spot was the terrace, where we lounged in hammocks watching the stunning Finnish sunset. The tranquility and beauty of the setting made it a perfect way to end the day. It was the peaceful escape we were looking for—the true Finnish mökki cabin experience.

The friendly sheep roaming the property added to the charm—they’re approachable if you want to pet them but keep their distance if you prefer to enjoy them from afar.

Charlotta, the host, was incredibly welcoming, speaking fluent English, Swedish, and Finnish, and making us feel right at home. We even bought some delicious local bread, homemade jam, and fresh eggs straight from the henhouse from her.

The price was extremely fair and seemed under market for what you get. If we had more time, we would have extended our stay. If you’re exploring the Archipelago Trail, Västeräng Glamping is a must. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and nature, and a truly memorable part of our trip to Finland.
