The apartment is perfect for what we needed. Location is an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of the city. We’ve been lucky enough to see the Aurora from the balcony & the built in sauna is fantastic for warming up in arctic temperatures. Kiki and Mika are very attentive hosts & Mika even took us on an unbelievable day trip to the frozen waterfalls which I cannot recommend enough. Hiking in snowshoes or crampons in the beautiful wilderness and a little climb up to the waterfalls, before a delicious lunch cooked over the handmade fire. Not to mention Mika is an excellent story teller and very informative! This has been the best holiday ever!!!

Wir haben mit Mika die Tour zu den gefrorenen Wasserfällen von Korouoma gemacht und es war fantastisch. Die Tour war perfekt organisiert, vom frühen Abholen in unserem Ferienhaus um als erster im Gebiet zu sein über die Auswahl des Trails und das Grillen am Mittag, es passte alles. Wir haben viel über Finnland erfahren und viel Spaß mit Mika gehabt. Man hat das Gefühl man ist mit einem Freund unterwegs und nicht mit einem Guide. 5 Sterne sind eigentlich zu wenig, wir würden 10 geben😊 Danke noch einmal für den tollen Tag!

We had the most amazing time in this cottage. It’s a very cute cottage with everything you want including sauna. I was not willing to go in public sauna but this was perfect for couple to enjoy some relaxing time in private setting. The utensils to cook were perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay very much. Loved the instructions book what Kiki has put together. We walked to downtown all the time, it’s 12-15mins walk. Shopping mall is 7-9 mins walk with multiple shops to explore.Will highly recommend!

They offer multiple accommodations. We were staying in the studio with sauna.

Since we arrived early, we were allowed to place our bays on the hosts' porch which was 150m away from the studio until check-in time. This gave us the capability to already go and explore the city of Rovaniemi.

When we went back to the studio at check-in time the hosts already moved our bags into the studio which gave us a welcoming feeling.

The studio itself had everything you need as a couple. There's a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with sauna, a TV corner, ... It all was very clean and tidy. It also had some Christmas decoration, so it really felt like a home.

The studio is located very close to the Arktikum which is the best spot in Rovaniemi to see the Northern Lights. It's only a 5min walk away.
The city centre itself is a 10-15min walk, so that's also easily accessible.
You could even walk to Santasport for some cross-country skiing, as that's only a 30min walk.

It was a great place to stay and I would recommend to anyone asking!

We travelled to Lapland in Dec 2022 – 2 adults and 2 children (8 year old twin boys). We stayed at the Aurora Apartment belonging to Casa Artica, a small local business run by Kiki and Mika.||||From the time we made initial contact with Kiki until the time we departed, the care & attention was flawless. Kiki and Mika are excellent communicators.||||Mika collected us from the Airport and gave us many insider tips and local knowledge including a short tour of Roveneimi so we could get our bearings before taking us to the Aurora apartment. The apartment was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children, it was spotlessly clean, cosy, well equipped and warm. The beds were really comfortable and the sauna was an added bonus at the end of a busy day!||||The centre of Rovaneimi is an easy 7-10 min walk from the apartment and our two boys enjoyed us towing them in and out of town on their sledges.||||Rovaneimi is a compact city and has many eateries & cafes.||||We visited the Santa Village via the Number 8 bus from Rovaneimi (10 mins bus ride). This is a must visit for children, we met Santa & got our photo taken, however the highlight for the boys was sledding around the Santa Village courtesy of Mum and Dad!||||An absolute highlight for me and my wife was the Snow Safari to Korouma forest & frozen waterfalls. This tour was booked with Mika himself from Casa Artica. He collected us from the apartment and drove us the 100 kms or so North to Korouma National Park. We had great chats on the drive; he is patient, informative and was able to answer all the questions our two boys threw at him! J The tour itself is amazing, from the snowy trails to the frozen waterfalls. The scenery is stunning. A highlight for the boys was the snack on the open fire we made, eating grilled sausages and of course marshmallows. A fantastic guided way to experience some of the true natural beauty of Lapland.||||We also spent the day at Raitola Husky & reindeer farm and again this was arranged for us via Kiki & Mika. A super family day combining a reindeer ride with lunch and then a husky ride in the afternoon.||||All in all we cannot recommend Casa Artica enough. Kiki and Mika run a small authentic personalised business and work so hard to ensure every single part of our trip ran as smoothly and as magically as possible! We would definitely recommend staying in any of the Casa Artica properties over a hotel. An all-round, professional, friendly and flawless 5 star experience.

The best place in Rovaniemi with fantastic hosts! Also the snowshoeing with Mika to the Korouoma waterfalls is an absolute must see and do! 5 stars for location, studio with sauna, the hosts. We had an amazing holiday and stayed for 8 days. We miss it and want to go back!

Van alle trips in Lapland, was de goed verzorgde sneeuwschoen wandeling door Kuouoma NP naar Kojvuköngäs waterval zonder twijfel de allerbeste. Gids Mika was zeer professioneel, maar ook nog eens zeer aangenaam gezelschap, met kennis over alle interessante onderwerpen. Hij verzorgde een trip in de totale stille serene natuur, omdat we voor de menigte uit, het park introkken. Daar weet hij de “off road” routes door de vallei. Ultieme Lapland ervaring! If I could, I would even rate 6 stars. One of the best places to stay in general that I've been around the world. The quality / price relation is amazing. First, there is the place: cozy, warm, and nice. Fully equipped and... with private sauna! Very easy to manage and awesome, only for that the house would have been already 5 stars.

Second, the location is perfect: 5 minutes walking to the bank of the river (and a public fireplace), one of the best places to see auroras in Rovaniemi. We actually were able to track them via the app and go out almost by the second (and, of course, we were lucky to see them -you need some luck in the end).

Third and most important, the family managing the B&B. Kiki and Mika were so nice and helpful! They saved us some taxi money picking us up and driving us at a small fee and even messaged us when they saw auroras. Thank you so much!!
