Avoid unless you've got no other/better option.

Stayed at the Kluuvi one, it has a good location, right next to tram and metro stations, as well as a number of shops & restaurants.

-1 star for the check in process - had to try multiple times, plus the 200EUR reservation on your card which wasn't released on checkout
-1 star for access - 20min walk from the train station, then 20-25min walk from the office (where you have to go to get the keys) to the actual place. At least they have an elevator
-1 star for cleanliness - dust & grime galore
-1 star for broken stuff - from leaky shower & toilet, to literal hazard over the tap (see photo)

Note that if you're in a wheelchair, then you need to take the roundabout way, since the main road side has stairs. The bathroom is small with a door lip, and the apartment entrance has a step, so it's not a very wheelchair friendly place anyways. The place is on a hill so be mindful if you've got big/heavy bags or struggle with climbing.

The door has only the main lock, which you can't lock more than just unlocking it, and no other locks, so if you're cautious then bring your own way to further lock the door (opens outwards from the apartment)

I stayed in the summer, with it being a sufficiently North area, it didn't properly get dark in the night, and the curtains were not blackout, I've still got a headache from not sleeping well.

All in all, if you cleaned up the place, repaired it, and got proper curtains, it'd be 3/5. Improve the checkin process and could go to 4/5 or even 5/5.

The property is located just a few minutes from the central train station in Helsinki. To check-in to the property you will first need to make your way to their central office which is only a few minutes away from central station. It is important that you do this before going to the property as it is located in opposite directions. This was a bit inconvenient, however I can understand why they do this and they strive to communicate this requirement during the booking process.

This particular property was located on the fifth floor of the building. Keep in mind there are no elevators within the building making the hike with luggage quite a challenge. The property itself is very large with a living room, kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, bedroom, Sauna and a balcony. The actually bed was comfortable and bedding was clean.

As the building is older, it is understandable that the property is not up to date. There were a few issues with this property that made the stay somewhat unenjoyable.

1. The biggest issues was shower had black mold all over the tiles. It made the shower really disgusting and basically unusable.

2. The sauna did not work. I spent a good amount of time reviewing the instructions and allowing it to heat up with no luck. This was quite a disappointment.

3. The balcony was in terrible unusable condition.

4. The paint on and around the windows was cracked and chipping. It makes be concerned about potential lead issues.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this property.
